So. I recently finished Episode 1 of the “The Walking Dead” Game on the Xbox 360 (Yes, I know. Point-and-Click Adventures should be appropriately played on PC, but it was only $5, so hey.) Anyway. I thought it was absolutely fantastic, coming from a fan of “The Walking Dead”, story driven games, zombies in general, and the like.
Now, normally I only purchase single player games when they really intrigue me and make me actually want to see what happens, and surprisingly, the demo was able to do that. So on a whim, (I had some extra MS Points about), I purchased it, even though my girlfriend wasn’t keen on it due to it costing money in the long run if I enjoyed it and our short supply of such, also since I could easily have waited and gotten it for free on PC. I must say though, not many games can emotionally involve me like this roughly 3 or 4 hour game did, to the point of actually making me tear up and feel for the main character. The concept of everything I did affecting the way things turn out (which I had only seen done in the Mass Effect series) just made it even better.
Now, seeing as this is the first “Episode” in what is to be a 5-part series, I was not only left wanting, but feeling like I actually needed to see what happens to these characters in the next episodes, and honestly, I can’t wait.
